The Dining Room at the SGHC was once two rooms; the larger section, the original 18th Century dining room, is designated by the stucco centre piece illustrating Bacchus in triumph as a putti in chariot. The smaller division is beautifully decorated with intricate foliage and roses and is centred by a depiction of Fortitude; it is believed to have been the Morning Room. Under this heavenly vault the theatre at the heart of Club life is played out, this room hosts our most anticipated celebrations as well as the daily venue for dining in style.

Located on the first floor of the Club at the top of the grand staircase, the Reading Room’s five floor to ceiling sash windows provide spectacular evening views over St Stephen’s Green.

The Card Room is located at the rear of the building and was built during the second phase of building at 9 St Stephen's Green in the 1870s. As a result this room is Victorian in architecture as opposed to the Georgian Architecture of the front of the house. With its breathtaking domed ceiling and exact proportions this room is excellent for private lunches and dinners, meetings, seminars, and wine tasting events. The room is flooded with natural daylight making it perfect for a daytime meeting or event, and with a built in dance floor it can be transformed for dancing at night.

The Guest Room is a small drawing room located on the first floor of the Club beside the Reading Room. This pretty little room has the beautiful plasterwork of 'Grammer' depicted above the working fireplace. The Guest room can be used for private lunches and dinners, meetings and small seminars. The room has a large bay window for natural light during the day and is fully equipped with overhead spotlights for evening meetings.
